Having Less Is More.

The more things we have, the more responsibility we should maintain, and they lead to more problems. A slight example, whenever we go out of the house, many of us still carry a lot of stuff with us, they used to be mobile devices (mostly more than one unit), wallet, books, notebooks, writing equipment, laptops, tablets, important documents, and so on.

And guys, bringing those things make us crazy, they are heavy to carry, hard to take care when we are roaming around, and there will always be risk for us to broke them, even to lost them, and that’s how we get the so-called stress. That’s how we complicate our life.

Having too much possession, too much things caused us stress, because we will expect many things to do, many things to complete and fix at a short period of time. Otherwise, by having fewer things, our life will much simpler, which leads to happier and simple life. Less control, less problem. And at least your desk and room will be cleaner. With simplified life, we will put more attention and care on all the things we have. They will last longer, taken care goodly, and most importantly, our better sense of belonging toward the things we have.

SOLUTIONS

Struggle for multifunctionality, utility stuffs.
Nowadays, many products have multiple functions and utilities that bundled into single device, just like smartphones, where we can have many useful apps in our palm such as Camera, internet access, organizer, writing tools, presentation tools, data storage, and music player. That is why we should be selective and decisive to choose the suitable devices that meet our needs.

Control the habit of impulse buying
Impulse buying happens when you often buy things that are not urgently needed and purchasing without plan. If uncontrolled, it will make your room full of things that unneeded. So control it, at least it saves you cost and space. And a research suggests, that there is a relation between things we have in the room and our mood and happiness. Less is better.

Avoid multitasking so often.
Multitasking leads you to not enjoying and focusing in the moment. For example, focusing on two completely different things at the same time, will decrease the optimal result we could have got. just like listening to a song, while keep opening different unrelated links that appears in your web browser. you could not enjoy the song, and you cannot enjoy and draw something out from the readings. It is just the same while you keeping more information, a lot of information, documents, tips and tricks, then you keep it in your folder and they are already fully loaded in your brain, the result is you don’t know how and where to start, you are not going to be effective and productive.

Start now. Just re-arrange your room, keep it neat, dump the old/unused things, use less gadgets, learn to think less things. Make things multifunctional and compact, simplify your life.
